Engagement Session in Providence RI

I shot this engagement session this past March in Providence, RI. It was a very cold and blustery day but we had a great time. It was a slightly different style for me as they wanted an industrial look. I am always up for a new challenge and I was very happy with the results! Enjoy.

A beautiful fall morning.

I was leaving for work yesterday when I looked and saw the lighting was absolutely gorgeous on the frozen dew of a fall morning mixing with the colder temperatures of winter. I ran back into the house and grabbed my camera, I could just not allow this moment to pass.
Fall is leaving and winter is coming. I hope you enjoy.

This picture reminds me of the colors of fall that I adore, and the approaching bleakness of winter. Something about it just tells me so much. This will be the print hanging in my house!

Fall Foliage in NH

It was a cloudy, fall morning in New Hampshire when we decided to venture to one of my favorite spots, Franconia Notch. Having attended college in Plymouth, NH, the Flume was one of my favorite getaways. It was not surprising how busy it was due to the foliage and all of the tourist, but no matter what, it was a gorgeous couple of hours plus it was my husbands first time visiting this beautiful wonder. Here are just a few of the pictures I have sorted through. ENJOY!

First Wedding of the Season

Yesterday was the start of the 2011 wedding season . I am a second shooter for Eloquent Image Photography based out of Cumberland, RI and owned by Curtiss Grieve. We began the day at the Unitarian Church in Providence, RI and finished at Valley Country Club in Warwick, RI. The bride and groom had won a free wedding through RI wedding group. It was a spectacular day even though it was a bit nippy and breezy, but that is what one would expect for an April Wedding. Had a blast and here are some of my favorite photos that I snapped! Enjoy!

Experimentation with Photography

Well a couple of weekends ago my fiance and I went exploring in the White Mountains of NH. There was not a better opportunity for me to start bonding with my new Canon 7D. I used to shoot exclusive to Nikon, but I have switched to the dark side for awhile. Anyone who knows me, knows I am always up for new challenges. Over the last year I have grown immensely in my photographic knowledge. I started with a Nikon D40x and within a year upgraded just last month to the Canon 7D. It's a whole new world. I am forced to start shooting a lot more manually. Along with exploring the new possibilities with the equipment, I am also learning and pushing my limits with post processing. Here is an example of one of my new works. I am not sure how I am feeling about it. I took the original which let me say this has been barely "touched" up in lightroom because I am starting to understand exposure and seemed to be perfectly captured. Once home I have just set them aside to think about what I wanted them to look like. I applied a plug in from Lightroom and am really adoring the effects. I hope you enjoy it! Drop me a line and let me know your opinion.
